My Favorite 8 Niche Date Ideas in LA
The best connections aren't just physical - they're intellectual too. There is something attractive about a man who wants to stimulate my mind as much as anything else.
Beyond Dinner & A Room
Here’s what I know about you: you’re not someone who settles for ordinary. You’ve done the dinner. You’ve done the room. You’re curious, intelligent, and somewhere beneath it all, you’re craving something unique and special… with me, of course ;)
Don't get me wrong - I also love a beautiful dinner. A candlelit table, a thoughtful wine list, and conversation that stretches long past dessert. I also love when we can discover something unexpected, wander somewhere a little unusual, or walk away feeling genuinely inspired.
Los Angeles Date Ideas
I love to explore, and I love even more doing it with someone adventurous enough to come along. Here are eight of my favorites - consider this your personal invitation to plan something a little different with me!
Please keep in mind that every city has its own version of these places.
Museums:
The Museum of Death– As someone who loves learning about all things psychology, this museum is dark, strange and fascinating.
The Museum of Jurassic Technology– It's part art installation, part fiction, part fever dream, and entirely unlike anything else.
Bookstores:
The Last Bookstore– I find bookshops deeply romantic. There's something about watching someone browse... what they pick up, what they linger over, what they put back... that sometimes tells you more about a person than most conversations do.
Immersive Experiences & Exhibits:
Immersive dining concepts, underground pop-ups, sensory art installations…
Ballet Of Lights– ethereal, otherworldly, and the kind of thing that makes you feel like you've stepped briefly out of real life.
Dining in the Dark– eating a full meal in the dark is equal parts hilarious and surprisingly intimate.
Infinity Mirrored Room Exhibit– standing inside an infinite reflection of us two… together… ooo la la.
Alice in Wonderland Escape Room– I can be competitive when the occasion calls for it… you’ve been warned.
Mummy of the World Exhibit– Let’s wander through thousands of years of human history together. Ends 9/26.
A Final Thought
The best dates leave you with a story. Something you'll still be laughing about on the drive home, or referencing weeks later in a message that starts with "remember when we..."
That's what I'm after. And I have a feeling you are too.
If any of these sound like your kind of afternoon, or if you have something else entirely in mind, you already know where to find me.
xoxo, Em
